There was a time when women were- covered from head to toe. In fact, they wore veils and one could not see their faces. The feet were the only visible part of there body. This was a common practice in many countries.
The feet and toes are the foundation for our body, and mobility. They need to be flexible and strong, well giving us balance. The average person will walk more then 250.000 miles. (That is the distance from the earth to the moon).

Each foot contains 26 bones, 33 muscles, 31 joints, 107 ligaments, and has over 7000 nerve ending in each foot. Twenty five percent of all bones in our body are in your feet. (52 bones in a pair of feet), this show that the feet are extremely important to the body.
Your foot care should start first with a sensible pair of shoes. A well fitting shoe should be half an inch longer than your foot, thus allowing some moving space for your toes. Before you buy a pair, put in a walk around for a few minutes to ensure that it doesn’t pinch or hurt.

By following a few careful dos and don’ts you can look after your feet. First, some basic rules:
Bathing

The first golden rule is to buy shoes of the right size. Apart from the size, you have to ensure that the length of heels that you are buying, does not de-stabilize you. People with bad backs should not wear pencil heels that hurt the spine .One should buy shoes in the afternoon or evening when the feet are swollen from the days walking. This will ensure that you get the right fit and size.
